One of the great things about the nation of Malaysia is people’s ability to come together and leverage their strength to support each other. In this truly wonderful spirit of Malaysia, optometrists coming from different sectors of the nation are doing their best to provide good eye care to the general public. AOC 2022 Organising Chair Mr. Woon Pak Seong explains the difference between cases that go to optometrists in public hospitals versus the ones that usually go to private practice. Bridging the gap between the public and private sectors is just as important as bridging ophthalmology and optometry together. Asia Optometric Congress is hoping to create collaborative movements in the eye care field for the better of public health.
