Waggoner Diagnostics today announced the inclusion of its Computerized Color Vision Test (CCVT) on Olleyes, Inc.’s (Summit, New Jersey) pioneering VisuALL virtual reality testing device. The partnership will add the color vision testing prowess of Waggoner’s flagship product to the VisuALL’s robust suite of eye care diagnostic products, which already includes visual field perimetry and visual acuity.
A natural fit from the outset
Pushing patient outcomes with the trifecta of ease of use, accuracy and reliability is critical to both companies, and this has driven the partnership since the early stages of the firms’ interactions. For Dr. Alberto Gonzalez-Garcia, CEO and Founder of Olleyes, the fit with Waggoner was immediately apparent. “Waggoner’s color vision test was a no-brainer for inclusion in the VisuALL’s ultramodern suite of tools,” he said in a joint video press release.
T.J. Waggoner, CEO of Waggoner Diagnostics immediately recognized the companies’ similar values and shared mission for eye care. “When I met Dr. Gonzalez-Garcia, it was obvious that we both had the same vision of improving patient outcomes while making the process as efficient and effective as possible,” he said.
Synergy on the cutting-edge of eye care
The collaboration is strongly rooted in both companies’ vision for the cutting-edge in eye care technology. Waggoner’s CCVT and Olleyes’ VisuALL were both designed with the field’s digitalization in mind, and the decision to feature Waggoner’s CCVT on the VisuALL is a statement on the promise of that future.
“[The VisuALL] has an incredible suite of validated diagnostics, and we are thrilled to be a part of their vision to improve doctor’s office and patient outcomes,” said Mr. Waggoner on the foundations of the partnership.
The VisuALL’s placement at the intersection of technological prowess and usability underpins Waggoner Diagnostics’ decision to enter into the partnership. “Olleyes is at the forefront of visual diagnostics, utilizing virtual reality headsets and bringing fun to patient care,” Mr. Waggoner commented.
Dr. Alberto Gonzalez-Garcia, agreed that the Waggoner CCVT fits the company’s ethos of data-driven diagnostics for all. “The rock-solid science and streamlined simplicity of the Waggoner test embodies our paradigm-changing vision for the future of eye care,” he said. “The Waggoner Computerized Color Vision Test is a key piece to this puzzle, and we are thrilled to have them on board.”
